Kids Stop

Kids Stop is an afterschool program that serves children in kindergarten through fifth grade. All programs run Monday through Friday. The program is in operation from the time school is dismissed until 5:30p.m. Snack is served during the first fifteen minutes of the program. Kids Stop is closed on days that school is not in session. All pre-determined closures will be posted a week in advance. Members may call the main location at 657-6373 for hours of operation and closures.

The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha offers a variety of programs using the Boys & girls Club of America national core program areas which are: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.

An application must be completed to become a Boys & Girls Club member. The fee is $5.00 a day per child. Members may participate in any activities at their school site. The membership is also valid at the Boys & Girls Club main location at 3712 50th Street.

Kids Stop is not a day care. Parents/guardians are responsible to inform their child when to participate in the program and when to leave the program. Members are released from the program at 5:30 p.m. and are sent home at that time. The Boys & Girls Club is only responsible for children at the Kids Stop program during hours of operation.

If a member does not follow the Kids Stop rules, he/she will receive a warning. Continued misbehavior may result in suspension and/or dismissal from the program.

The Boys & Girl Club of Kenosha is looking for adult volunteers to assist in youth activities. Parents may sign up to volunteer at any one of our locations. Being a volunteer can be very rewarding for you and the youth. As a volunteer you can share your own special talent with the children.
